Are sweet pea flowers safe?

Hi all, I unfortunately had to pull out my sweet pea plants due to illness. Some peas were perfectly fine, and some flowers as well.

My question is, can birds eat the flowers? If not, I'll just give the peas.

Apparently all parts of the sweet pea plant are toxic including the peas

I think those are decorative peas. Edible sweet peas tend to be harmless. Thanks for the reply.
