I’ve given him half an ear of fresh before, but I’m looking now, and there’s no center cob left! I don’t really see evidence that he just shredded it, but is this possible and SAFE?

That he ate the center too!?

Do you have a CAV you can call on this one? I know they say to avoid corn-cob bedding as it can cause intestinal blockages. My bird will eat nut shells and that is dangerous, so I cannot give them to her.

I would let your vet know and keep a close eye to make sure there is regular eating, pooping and no vomiting...but do call.

Will do.

Thanks.

I’m an idiot.

My wife pulled out the tray, and she showed me all of these kernels of corn that had little pieces of cob attached to them.

lol! That's a relief though!
