Attention Cockatiel Breeders

I have bred cockatiels in the past, but only indoors. I recently purchased breeding stock again from a local breeder who is no longer doing tiels and is focusing entirely on Asiatic Parakeets. She advised me to breed them indoors, stating that cockatiels are especially prone to yeast in the nest box when bred outdoors in this climate (Hawaii), does anyone have any experience with this? I have googled and basically all the advice I can find is "don't feed wet food to the parents, keep the nest and chicks clean, and watch for signs of yeast." Can anyone expand on that? I mean more of how to prevent it rather than how to treat it, but treating is important too, though the breeder I purchased the tiels from is more than willing to help me treat them if I have an issue.
