Avian Job

I am a biology/zoology major at Eastern Michigan University trying to specialize in avian biology. I am off for the summer, and have begun looking for a job. Although I do need the work, I am looking for something I can potentially gain some experience working with avians. Avians have always been something I have been interested in, especially parrots, and I already have experience raising several different species of birds. All of that said, does anyone here know of any job opportunities or ideas in terms of experience working with avians in the Michigan area? Thanks

I do not know the Michigan area, but you could try Rescues, Shelters, Avian Vets, SPCA, Humane Society, Bird Specific Pet Stores, Forestry Dept., Audobon Society, and local breeders. If they don't have jobs, they may know where you could try. Good Luck! We need more Avian Special-ists.

I noticed a Help Wanted sign in the window at FransExoticBirds.com today. It's a great place, and there may be affordable housing in the summer, as Cypress College is just across the street.
