I have a Two and a half year old sergically sexed male. I had adopted him from an elderly man whose wife was afraid of him. I think he dislikes females for that reason, wich is terrible for me seeing as I am a woman and his primary care giver. The only part of me he will let me touch is his beak and his feet, but only if he is inside of his cage. I cant have him step up, or touch his feathers. I have tried the target training with a stick, many many times, every tip that you can possibly get from those bird websites before they want you to pay.
Also, he loves peeling the paint off my walls. He has pleanty of time, and at least 12 hours of out of his cage time every day. Is there any way to teach him not to? Im really afraid that the paint will make him sick. Any pointers apprecitated!
