We finally have a baby blue headed pionus after waiting a year to find one. She is just a beautiful girl. Gave her the choice of coming out of the carrier on the way home. She sat in my lap and on my shoulder most of the way with breaks to go in the carrier in between.
So far, she is a mixture of extreme calm and active. She was calm and snuggly all day. In the evening she became very active, exploring everything like a little busy body. She vocalizes every so often for a few minutes at a time. An adorable series of squeaks. She hasnt screamed at all yet.
I just wanted to let everyone know about her, ask if its normal for them to get active in the evenings and what we should name baby girl. The options are:
Ava, Faye (fairy), Flora, Skylar, Sophia and Kaia. We played around with names like Juno, Neela (blue), Aurora, Freya, Athena, Echo, Azora (clear blue sky), Autumn, Basil, Avery, Juniper, Olive, River, Atlas and Elara but non of those seem to suit her (name suggestions for other people though lol).
We think Ava and Skylar maybe seem to suit her the most right now. She is soft and sweet but also spunky and active sometimes. She looks like a fairy creature so Faye is kinda appropriate. Sophia is a good, solid name. Kaia sounds sweet but is also kinda overused, obvious and boring.
What do you guys think? We are in love with this girl Haha.
