Baby Girl's Birthday

Today is my Kisses' 6th birthday! It's the commencement of 'Birthday Season" in my house (there are a number of family members and pets in the next three weeks...mine included...so it becomes kind of a blur of celebration.)
She is the one who was a breeder but was SO extraordinarily shy and fearful that she wasn't cut out for it and the breeder gave her to me just so she could have a good home. I am partial to shy dogs (I AM a shy dog LOL).
She is also my wild heart with the most gentle soul. She was Gilbert's protector when he was a baby (I forgot him out of his cage and went out and he was on the floor with three dogs in the house! I got home to find her standing guard over him, as if he were her pup.) The two of them still have a special bond.


Anyhow I just thought this was a funny series of photos.

Yes, I would never deliberately leave Gil unattended with my dogs but in all honesty it has happened not once, but twice, and she always keeps an eye on him.


She was fine with the candle....too fine!! I had to pull the plate away because she was going to try to grab her cookie while the candle was still burning.

Kisses makes some hysterical faces sometimes. She is this beautiful, graceful little 5.5 pounder who has quirky mannerisms and facial expressions that crack me up. She still has an occasional struggle with submissive pee and then the huge smile. She lost a couple front teeth, so it's this crazy, huge smile that makes her look like "mater" from the movie Cars. hahaha
