My Harlequin Macaw, Pancho, is 8 months old. He is so active. When he's out of his cage, which is several hours per day, he wants to be on me. Not a perch, or top of his cage. Me. But he won't just sit there and let me work. He's climbing and flapping and pulling (and pinching if those things don't get him the appropriate amount of attention) constantly. He has moments of wanting cuddles and snuggly and head scratchings. But quickly back to antics. Does the amount of activity subside a bit with age usually? I'm hoping this is kinda like a "puppy stage" with a dog.
If it's not age related, but a behavioral issue, tips on getting him a bit calmer would be very welcome! 😃

No it will not subside. Macaws are toddlers with can openers on their face. I would recommend either getting or building your own play stand that you can have near your work area and fill it with toys and train him to stay on it so you can go about your business.
