Can I house these two together?
I realize that it doesn't always work out, some birds just don't do well with others, but typically would it be ok to house these two birds together??

If they started out together as unweaned babies, I think it will work. After they can fly, there is no guaranty.

I'm not a fan of housing different sized birds together. They may be able to be housed together, but it is risky - it only takes one incident for that GCC to lose a toe or foot.

I personally wouldn't. I've heard horror stories of someone placing a baby ring neck with a slightly older one who had appeared to always get along and like each other. Then he came home to a bird with a snapped neck and the other covered in the after math if what it had done.

Not exactly how I would want to greet my birds :(

I once caged a sun conure and a white eared conure(kiwi) together. Albeit, it was a long time ago and I was very bird-ignorant, but we never had any accidents. Now though looking back it was a real risk. Suns(aratinga) have such big beaks compared to the GCCs(Pyhrrura) and it only takes a split second to do some real damage. Not only that, but bigger bar spacing like 1" which may be considered OK for suns, would be dangerous for the GCC.
I just personally wouldn't do it. I like to keep my big beaks away from my little beaks. :)

The only way for them to be housed together safely is IF you had a large flight aviary. If just in a cage, please don't attempt it!!!

My Sun and Green Cheek loathe, and I do mean LOATHE each other.

They are housed in separate cages.
If both are out simultaneously, they are supervised carefully, as they always try to initiate a fight.

This is one year after Sunny came home. A whole year and the sibling rivalry still goes on, lol.

I fear for loss of limbs or loss of life, otherwise.

Ok, I won't do it. Thank you all for you input. :)

Considering there are hybrids between the two species, it is possible.
