Just got back from the vet with Lincoln and Apollo. Apollo began to warm up to her carrier just in time yesterday and I had no problem getting her in it (in fact she didn't want to come out when we got home!) so that went well. Apollo did very good at the vet and they loved her a lot. They did a physical on her and said she looked great. I will be going back for a full work up (blood panel and fecal) but they aren't concerned.

Lincoln however. Lincoln did not have fun at all and he made the entire building aware of it. They took a tissue sample to check for bacteria and low and behold, Lincoln has another bacterial infection. They prescribed meds so I'm doing that again, thankfully he's really good about taking meds. I still don't know what is causing this bacterial infection to reaccure though...

Aw, poor Lincoln! Hope you are able to figure out how he’s picking up the bacteria. Glad Apollo was a trooper though :)

Ohnoes, the poor guy.
It is always better to know than to guess but but not something we were hoping to read.

Get well soon brave one.

I know you are better than I am when it comes to birds. BUT.. Just have to ask.. Did he drink from the bottle or his bowl?

I am glad Apollo is doing fine/well. :) She is a good girl. ;)

He drinks from a bowl.

Dose the doctor give you the name of the bacterial that Lincoln has??

I might know the cause if I have the name/kind. :)

they did not, I'll have to check his papers to see if it mentions it but if it doesn't ill ask them about it when I go to re-check in 2 weeks.

I am not a vet so I don't know about animals... I was just curious of what they gave Lincoln is just to cover up the bacterial that he has or just gave it because he has an infection!

Call them up and ask them to see they know what is it that he is having.

To diagnose and treatment it.

Hope Lincoln getting well soon.

**CHUUUUUUUUUU*

he's on metacam (.2ml daily for 14 days) and entofloxacin (.13ml every 12 hours for 3 weeks) one is an antiinflamatory because he had a large increase of white blood cells too. His papers don't mention specific bacteria though. I will ask.

he was on the same medicine last time this happened just at a slightly lower does and it helped.

Sorry to read about Lincoln, that boy sure has some dumb luck. We hope this is the last time for this.
