Hello,

I just introduced myself in the new section. Looking forward to meeting and hearing from more Goffin owners.

Chance (my Goffin) is just going on two years old. She is the absolute Love of my Life!! She is either in her what I named "Crackatoo" stage..hyper, dancing, vocal and just enjoying life or..in her "down time' where she is the most cuddly, affectionate bird I have ever had the pleasure of being around. She will lay on her side on me or even upside down and just enjoy being pet for hours while I watch tv. She loves bath time in the sink with the sprayer on very low volume and will even lay upside down to get her belly and wings sprayed..she is like a fish in the water.

While she does not talk much at all yet..she does "laugh" at the appropriate times and says HI and puts her wings up in the air when she says it.

As active as she is, I would love to get her a bigger cage but have not been able to find anything larger that does not have 1" bar spacing and I am very afraid she would get her head/neck stuck in that size bar spacing.
Her current cage is inside measurements 30x30x43 with 1/2" bar spacing.

Anyone have a larger cage for their Goffin's? If so what is the bar spacing?

Thanks,

I don't have a goffins, but what about cages with 3/4" bar spacing? There are larger cages with that spacing. Some may even be 5/8th.

I had my mitred conure in a YML WI40R cage that had 1" bar spacing without problems, except for the fact that he rubbed the feathers off his face between his beak and his eyes. I downsized to the WI32R, which meant that he couldn't stick his beak through the bars as far.
