Cage for a TAG?

I'm looking for a good cage for my future African Grey, which is looking more and more like it will be a TAG. I need to know good bar spacing, and what spacing is too small for them. I found this on Amazon for my Pionus, but might use it instead for the Timneh when I get them.

All my cages currently are good for the smaller brats, including bar spacing. I've never had a larger bird before and concerned with the larger bird bending bars and escaping **Visions of the HULK bending prison bars fly through her mind**

Honestly I don’t think I would put anything bigger than a green cheek Conure in that.
A CAG /TAG could easily bend the bars. Not enough to escape but I don’t think it would hold up over the long haul.

You would probably have to “tie down” those little liftable doors cuz your bird will most likely start opening them.
Again it’s not going to be able to escape that way but it could get stuck 1/2 way through.

When picking out your cage for a TAG & CAG remember this. They'll watch how you open, close, secure doors etc. Then they'll work on a birdie replication for same activity. I watched my grey examine the hows too many times to count. Before my grey trained me, I got tired finding him out at various and random times. I tried those c-type rings that are supposed to be parrot resistant. But to keep my grey from opening them, they had to be tight enough that I needed pliers to open. In frustration I put a lock requiring a key on the door. I came home, discovered that he jammed key port. I take cage off base. Removed the feathered problem, drag cage to car, jury rig getting it in, take it to a locksmith to cut lock off. I got another cage type as soon as I could afford it. That cage was very expensive. It's escape proof, stainless, bars don't flex etc. That cage is over 3 decades old! Don't rush cage purchase. If possible go to pet/feed stores and look at cages in person. The biggest disadvantage of online purchasing is you see the big picture at it's best. But greys look at the tiny details, locating flaws, weaknesses and escape points.

That cage is very similar in style to what I have. Inquire about materials. The price is too good to be true!

This is what I have for Scooter:

The shorter one is the old cage, currently used as a spare when the main cage is being cleaned. The taller one is the regular day cage. And Scooter, checking out the kitchen cabinet, because she has to know what's behind every door.

Does Scooter mearly look or does she roll cans out, chew open pasta boxes, then start calling peekaboo as your instruction to find her, for while pretending not to know location?

I have this exact cage for my 2 conures. It works perfect for them. They fly in it. I am not sure how big a TAG is. My Ekkie is roughly 350 grams. It’s too narrow for him.

It depends on her mood. Usually she's not too messy, but when she gets into egg-laying hormone levels, she chews apart everything to make it into nesting material.

I have my Timneh in a Macaw cage 3 foot by 2 foot by 5 foot high . But he's out all day . the spacing is probably an inch
