Basil Seeds Safe?

Hello, all!

I've tried searching the forums and Googling it but I may not be looking it up correctly.

I ignored my basil a couple of weeks so now I have several stalks of gorgeous green and purple blooms, some of which have since turned to seed.

Are the *seeds* themselves okay for conures/parrots? I saw the leaves and flowers were so I am *assuming * the seeds are but you know what they say about assumptions!

I wanted to put one of the stalks on his cage for him to tear apart and forage through, but not if the seeds are dangerous =(

Do you have the link by chance? When I look up for flowers I mostly get just "You can give them basil' and then the other stuff is "Basil is healthy" with no reference to parrots (including in parrotmag).

I was going off of this list that talked about dandelions and hibiscus, too. So, now I'm a little worried because he has played a bit with those ÷(
