Captin Jack - Panama Amazon
Some pics of Captin Jack after shower. I took him to the shower for a few minutes. Once he was back to the top of his house, he started messing in the water bowl. I’m guessing by this that I didn’t let him stay in the shower long enough for him. BTW, how long should I let him stay under the shower water?

Rozalka, Thank you - I think I fixed it. On a side note, it shouldn't be that hard to post pics lol

Alan, I hope you don't mind but I thought you're pics were a little dark so I tried to recover them a bit...They we're pretty noisy so I did the best I could but I think that we can see the Captain a little better now.

Bill, the first two are actually screen captures from the video I took. So yeah they were a bit rough. Thanks for helping them look better.

No problem, it's tough getting the exposure right when you have a dark subject in front of a bright window...especially with a phone.

When the bird walks out of the stream for several minutes. It is probably done.

However every fid is different just like humans. You will figure out the body language over time if you pay attention.;)

Let him bath as much as he wants. He is from a rainy part of Panama.. Salty rarely likes to shower or bath, I figured out why. His species is from the arid coastline of Venezuela, lots of cactus, almost desert. He never shows the joy de vir most Amazons have for water.

Mine can bathe forever! After his shower, we have to take his water cup away as the dripping wet bird will continue to throw the water around. I used a picture of him bathing on our Christmas card this year. It was so cute!
