Bathing Yvons - Tips?

Yvons hates the spray bottle. LOTHES it. I bathe him last, after dancing and going 'weeeeeee!' when spraying down the other birds, who usually tolerate it. Okay, Vortex LOVES it, but Redshift and Charlie seem to tolerate it, depending on the day. Anyway - I digress. Yvons used to bathe in his water dish. Any tips on what size container I can use for Yvons? I might have to go out and get something for him. Or are there ways I can get him used to being bathed by a spray bottle?

Have you tried treating the spray bottle as a training session(s)? The progression could look like this:

-Spray the bottle near him (don’t spray him with the water yet). If he stays calm, give him a treat. You can do this several times to create a positive association.
-Once he’s comfortable with the bottle, spray once lightly above him, so the water gently mists him. If he stays calm or shows any bathing behaviors (fluffing up, shaking, tail wagging, etc.), give him a treat. Again, you can repeat to create a positive association.
-Once he’s comfortable with single sprays, you can increase how many times you spray the bottle, & treat him. This will eventually progress into him enjoying bathing with a spray bottle & not needing treats to do so.

Ava loves baths. I start spraying with a spray bottle, & she gets so into it that she climbs into her water dish and splashes around while I spray. It’s so ridiculous to watch, and so funny.

Also its not uncommon for parrots to take offense to a spray bottle because of the tip color. Crazy as that seems. Salty did not like the blue tip on ours. I switched to a red one and he was OK. I've since switched to a battery powered one (red tip too), he likes that one more and I freaking LOVE it!

As above for a try. Nameliss after decades still hates water bottle. She tolerates it. I mist her if I see dust clouds with shaking. Mainly I mist her feet. Thats her signal to use water bottle as a shower. She uses about 1/4 cup of water that way. Remember the mimicking ability when giving encouragement. Whatever may not be cute heard for the umpteenth time.
