Beak rubbing question

So I've been noticing lately that Quincy has been beak on me. Especially like when I come home from a long day of work.

Yesterday I even noticed he seemed to regurgitate a little. He also seems to be preening more the usually.

Today he's here with me rubbing alla over my beer nuts bag. I'd this his way of showing affection?

I would think it's affection. Mine rub me with their beaks or preen my hair and skin. Birds like to preen when you get them out. They feel comfortable, and you as the flock mate can keep watch so no predators will get them while preening. Mine always preen while sitting with me, and I don't notice them doing it in the cage that often. Sounds like your guy is happy and well adjusted and bonded with you.

My 4 guys rub beak a lot and it's fine. It's just for affection and saying "you're mine!". Enjoy it.

+1 for the beak rubbing. Cytrynka does that frequently and I love it! About the preening, do you mean him preening himself, or him preening you? If you mean him preening you, then I'd say "affection", together with the "regurgitating" stuff. And probably he's going through his hormonal phase, as I recall he was a bit younger than my Cytrynka? She's 2yo right now, and she acts "hormonal" for some time now.
And have you verified he's a "he"? i.e. was he DNA sexed, or just the breeder's "assumption"?

The Rb does beakie-rubs and then does his little strut/rooster-walk... as if to say "I'm too sexy for my beakie!" Move over, RightSaidFred!

Yes it is likely due to affection but it can also be for functional/utilitarian reasons (or even textural experience). If accompanied by regurgitation and ritualistic looking/repetitive, you most definitely have crossed a line into sexual/affectionate (as beak rubbing tends to be a hormonal thing, depending on the context). Watch all of this video--she's a professional parrot trainer and the thing I would add is that, as people, we can instigate (inadvertently) these hormonal bursts regardless of the season:
