It looks like Bella has chosen me as her person. She has recently started regurgitating her food to me. I feel honored and sticky LOL.

Her vocabulary continues to expand I cant even remember all the things I have heard her say.
Lets go. how are you. watch ya doing. good boy. oh my god. + lots of sound effects.

I have done some searching on the web about her current appearance. I have seen pictures that look similar to how she looks now that indicate it may be in part due to molting. I do hope she will recover a get back to a normal appearance .

My biggest running problem is her pooping. For such an intelligent bird you would think she would learn not to poop on her person. I never trained my YNA not to poop on me he just "knew" to do his business somewhere other than on my clothes. She is a wonderful bird and I would like to carry her around with me more if she was not so free with her toilet habits.

I hope Bella becomes fully feathered, but oh, that beautiful face! Yes you have been chosen, and that is quite an honor!

Some of my birds try to warn or fly off before pooping while others simply don't care.

Aint that the truth!

Yes Wes...Bella is certainly a beautiful girl..it would be awesome if she gets all or most of her clothes back on.
Have you notice any changes? Is she re-growing any? Any "fluff" floating around?
At any rate...yep..it looks like your the one she picked! I'm sure she thinks her life is sooo much better..thanks again for taking such a sweetheart in.

Awwww Bella! Give the poop training time. Nigel is good until he gets busy and then forgets. Some Lear fast, others, meh not so much.

There may be more down feathers showing up around her legs but her chest is still bear. The thing that is new is all the down feathers showing through her wings. I see 2 new red tail feathers starting. Overall less down feathers at the bottom of her cage since we brought her home.
She is an adorable and affectionate bird even if she is unable to regrow her feathers.
I just worry about her getting too cold.

I've started saying "go poop" when Perjo steps up and wants to sit on my shoulder. I give her a about 25-30 seconds and wait to see if she will and she has been about 60% of the time since I started this. I hold her on my hand until she tries to poop, then let her on my shoulder. I think she's putting 1+1 together and realizing she is not going up there until she poops.

This is how I have been dealing with it also. only works about 1/2 the time. Whoever said African grey's are stubborn have it right.
In the morning I take her out of her cage, set her on the back of a chair while I feed my cockatiel family. As soon as she sets on the chair she makes on enormous poop. It takes about 3 paper towels to clean up (not on the carpet on linoleum). After that it's safe to have her on my shoulder for 10-15 min.
