Bingo lost his battle with what must have been some kind of cancer.
I know there was no test and no medicine to be given that would have helped. I am glad he was able to pass away in my arms at home knowing he was loved rather than an impersonal doctor in a back room.

He died in my arms this morning.
I don't know how many hours I sat with him on my chest till he breathed his last breath. The Twins were very quiet and watchful the entire time.
This is going to leave a hole in my heart and my life that can never be filled .

Fly free bingo and keep a watch for me when it's my turn to cross the rainbow bridge.

RIP Bingo, 6/27/25

He was one of the 3 amazon parrots that we've had since before I was born and the last one to go. He knew how to say my name, danced, and talked. He passed away sitting with my Dad and I just a bit ago.

Oh Wes, I'm so sorry to read this very sad news, my heart is aching for you! I just can't imagine how hard it is to lose a bird who has been your beloved companion for such a long time. Bingo lived a life full of love and he left on his own terms and in his own time, and was wrapped up safely in the arms of the one who loved him most dearly, and I don't think any of us could ask for more than that. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences and warmest hugs, Wes, I'm so sorry for your loss. Bingo most definitely will be waiting for you at the Bridge but will be watching over you and caring for you in the meantime. The love never dies.

Why do i cry when other people's birds die? Its been a tough month for sure between Grim and Crescent, and now Bingo. The thing I've learned for sure, the longer and stronger the bond with a loved one, animal or human, the deeper the grief. Take care of yourself and the rest of your flock.
