sun conure!
The last few weeks my bird has been falling really hard off her perch in her sleep. Only in her cage. Not when she naps or even at night when she sleeps on a perch. But shes falling very very hard. At first I shrugged it off since birds do that sometimes but its happening way too much to the point im worried. Anyone know what could be wrong or what is up?

Tell us more about your bird. What kind? How old? How long have you had her?

You should move hee perches to lower in the cage. You can also get perches that are wider and flatter. Rectangular or corner mounted wood platforms are good They make some natural wood "half log" types that are easy for birds to stay on without falling. You can also mount two perches a couple inches apart so if she loses her balance the second perch will catch her before she falls to the bottom of the cage.
You can also pad the cage bottom with old towels and place cage paper on top of the towels. You would need to get rid of the grate at the bottom unless you put the towels on top of the grate and put the cage paper on top of the towels.

You should bring her to an avian vet for a health check. She may be sick.

Sun conure, 4, 4 year. And great Idea! I am going to do that right after this. And I will look those up. I was thinking that too... But I dont exactly want to bring her if shes just losing balance because its a lot of money. Im more just confused why shes only falling in her cage. I kind of have suspected it is the perch maybe because she has multiple but only sleeps on ONE. Should I maybe take it out? See if that helps. She also did just get her nails clipped so I feel that can maybe be apart of the issue? Since she does always struggle after. But im not sure. Do you have any idea what this could possibily mean. Ik your not avian vet but any idea? Should I be really worried or not?

Honestly I would be worried.
My first Amazon parrot died just a few weeks after he started falling off his perch.
I did go to my avian veterinarian and it didn’t help.
In retrospect I think he was having mini strokes or seizures and I don’t know how that could have been treated.

After falling does it take him a little time to get back up?
Does he kind of flop around on the bottom of the cage at first.
These things are signs of more than a simple slip or fall.

Wish you good luck.🍀

Im sorry to hear that and oh gosh... Yeah thats not good at all. Idk what to do. And ummm not really. Iv been awake all night for at least 2 weeks now. So iv seen her directly fall each time and she gets back up right away. She only looks at me when i ask if shes okay and shen she climbs back up.

You could also wrap the perch she falls from with elastic "vet wrap" bandage material. Maybe that perch is too slippery for her feet. If so, the vet wrap helps a lot with grip.
Unless the nails are badly overgrown or getting stuck in fabrics frequently I wouldn't trim them. Birds always seem to have more trouble climbing and gripping after nail trims.

Change sleeping /favorite perches often, even if they are the right size. Even if its "natural' perch, birds tend to sleep in the same spot every night, so their leg musculature can get cramps, and tendonitis (bird version). I have a flat rock-like perch that gets cage time occasionally. Mid height; Salty plays on it but won't sleep on it. Lower his sleeping perch and try the vet tape. If this all stops once he gets used to his new claws, then no worries.
