bird play gyms

i made a bird play gym for my to greys, they love it.
its a bit worse for wear now and im looking into making a new one.
need some advice on what sort of wood to make it out of,the one that i made was out of black and white shelving, i have loads of mdf at work, is this ok to use?
i know that it did have vanmalderhide (if that how you spell it,i have no idea) glue in it years ago, that has been taken out now due to major health reasons!

Personally I wouldn't use it, purely because it HAD the glue in it.

The other reason I wouldn't use it as being MDF they are gonna go through it pretty quick. Have you thought about PVC piping? Think we have some pics of one that Birdcrazy (I think) made. I'll go have a look for the link now. and post it here later.

Found it and yep it was Birdcrazy who made it. I'm sure she'd be happy to answer any question you may have.

I just made a bird net for my two birds.
Well, I made two actually. The second one is going to be about 5'x5' but the one that I have right now hanging (my test one) is on some pictures in the threat "Oh Goodness" under conures.
