Bird safe mop solution recommendations?

My mom keeps using fabuloso to mop the floors around the birds and it stresses me out. I told her any strong and highly scented mop solutions shouldnt be used around birds so she asked me to give her some bird safe mop solutions.

Vinegar and water solution is the safest as far as I know. Not sure of the proper dilution. If you don't like your house to smell like straight vinegar you can squeeze a lot of lemons into the water.

Personally, I just use plain warm water. Detergents are needed for grease and my floors don't get greasy. Water softens most dirt and I just mop it up.

I use a steam mop for floors w distilled water. Now a days there's multiple brands available. So no oder, easy to use, nearly instant on and off. It's hard to discourage use of scented cleaners.

I don't really understand why people insist on adding fake scents to their home. If my home smells so bad that I need to cover it up I should find the source of the bad smell and eliminate it by cleaning it up without scented chemicals.

Regular dish soap and hot water do wonders, too
