I have a Cinnamon Green Cheek Conure named Kiwi and a dove named Squeakers that thinks parrots are stupid.
Does anyone have experience using a bird warmer (heater that attaches to the side of the cage and radiates heat)?

If so, I would love to hear the good, bad, and ugly of them...

Do you have a link or name of a specific device ?
I would be interested in learning about it. I had to make a brooder for my cockatiel chicks using a hot pad and a Tupperware/Rubbermaid storage tub.
had no temp control but it worked.

There is some info (opinions etc) out there if you search but not anything that could be linked here LOL.

The second one is the one I was thinking about. Thanks for your feedback! I might have to get one for my Kiwi :)

I just bought a K&H but haven't installed it yet. To my surprise, it was available as a special order item from Home Despot, no charge for shipping to local store and great price.

Dr Foster Smith had them for a great price so I ordered one for Spezi(SC)along with a plush lovie and a triangle shaped perch. Got them all set up in his fave corner and he loves them.
We get up early here so he's put to bed & covered up around 730 pm. When I put him to bed he putzes around for a bit but then he climbs up and plants himself against that warmer and he's in he's in heaven.
We peek in on him sometimes and he's as content as he can be. My daughter said the warmer and lovie were the best things I'd bought him yet. Gonna make sure I get one in place for Bambam before he even gets here.

My Amazon just pulls up close to my head and turns me into his private 'bird warmer.'

If they use the warmer, who's gonna cuddle with me??? ;)
