Hi everyone,

I’m not an avid bird watcher but I do enjoy it when I do. I was going to purchase binoculars as the ones I currently have are over 20 years old, and the clarity just isn’t there. Does anyone have particular advice on binocular brands, or suggestions? I thought about getting a 10x25 compact pair as I felt like I’d use them more as they can fit in a pocket. However I went, and used them in store and it really cuts down the view more than I’d like.

Thank you for the help, I’m just guessing we have some bird watchers on the parrot forum.

If you can afford something from Leica, Zeiss, Swarovski, or Vortex, I would definitely recommend that, but they are EXTREMELY pricey. I use these (they cost around $60 and have served me well): Link

Thank you, I ended up getting zeiss ones. I did like the viper line for vortex. I went with compact ones otherwise the likely hood of me carrying binoculars would be slim to none. I’m too broke for Swarovski. Nice bino’s but they start at $1000 for their compact ones.
