I'm not sure if she is blackface - this mutation has black cheeks

This bird looks a lot like the rare black faced parakeet that I saw on a YouTube clip.

Wow! Very cool. Is it completely covered in black barring?

Wow! Where did this bird come from? Do you breed budgies? Did you produce it?

He's really pretty! Thank you for sharing photos; I've never seen this coloring before.

Yes, I just posted two new photos of him and his friends. If you know anyone with a black female please let them know I have a black male. I believe this mutation is on the brink of extinction.

There's no such thing like "mutation extinction" - they're bred by people and they're just rare.

Looks like a blackface!

Although it is likely an adult, as the adults lose their bars at the abdomen(they usually just fade lighter).

Blackface budgies are very rare! You are very lucky to have him. The little helicopter budgies are cute too :)

Are you trying to breed the birds? Because I see a nest box...
This thread has all the things to think about beforehand.

Edit: it's best not to breed two females and one male, as the females may become aggressive.

I wonder if it couldn't maybe be this budgie, or a violet/grey budgie?

This budgie is the anthracite mutation, which is very rare.

I thought about grey combination with dark or violet factor but I wasn't sure how they look like.
I forgot about existence of such think like anthracite mutation... it's very possible too

Ps how old is the budgie?
