Good afternoon ,

My husband and I purchased a amazon parrot(Daisy) last Monday. It is only 4 weeks old and we purchased it from a private breeder not a pet store. We don’t know if it is a male or female but for now we named it Daisy. My husband works from home so he has been home with it all day long. I on the other hand work outside of Home so I am away about 10 hours a day. Daisy and my husband have bonded. She whistles and looks for him when he leaves the room. But she does not seem to like me very much.or doesn’t trust me yet. It bites me when I try to hold it. Today for the first time I was alone with her and she was just very agitated. Kept yelling very loud. When I would go by her she would try to bite me. So I finally just left it alone. I stopped going to her when she would start yelling and it finally calmed down. But how do I bond with her if she won’t let me hold her when my husband is not home. Does talking alone help ? I give it food and treats. Any advice would help. Thank you !

Tami, ya beat me to it! With the bonding thread AND the age question!
