Blue had his vet appointment today. Of course he isn’t happy! He is getting DNA sexing done. I wanted to take a poll to see who on the parrot forum is right… is Blue is a boy or girl?!?!?

My vote is for rooster, no probs with infertile egg laying that way. Poor Princess Peachie is in the throes of hormonal overload right now and if she starts laying I would not be one bit surprised. Always a chance they may be fertile for her though, and I'm lookin' at YOU, Lovejoy!!!!!

That’s why I’m having Blue sexed. I really spend extra time with my female conure to discourage hormones. There are no dark places in her cage. There are no fluffy soft toys. As soon as I see her backing into her toys, and clucking she gets her cage rearranged.

No, I called last Thursday as it had been a little over 2 weeks since he was tested at a vet office. They told me it takes awhile to come back, and that they would call.

Hoping for a rooster for you. Poor Peachie is currently in the throes of hormonal overload and is *constantly* squawking at the top of her lungs for Lovejoy to feed her and ..... do other things for her. The noise is deafening, I can't imagine how loud a broody mac would be!!
