Can't agree more to that. I mentioned previously that my 'best bird' was my little blue budgie Wonsy.
WAKE UP MOMMY. TIME TO PLAY.
Cuddles with Brucie. (Wonsy was his first mate, this was their first day meeting.)
She had a heart of gold, a personality to match that of a giant macaw, she was cheeky and happy and wormed her way into everyones heart. Sure she only cost me £10, but I'd pay a hundred times that, and then some if I could get my girl back. She died from strokes and with no avian vet or mode of transport there was nothing I could do for her.
She left big boots to fill thats for sure. She was my first real companion bird (I'd had budgie's before but they wern't mine/wasn't tame.) and she was the best thing that ever happened to me. She spurned on my love for birds, she taught me patience with animals, she taught me to read behaviour, she taught me about unconditional love.
I honestly regret not getting a thousand more pictures of her, I thought I'd have her longer.
You're right Wings. Some may me small and cheap, but they really are priceless when it comes down to what actually matters.
