Hi everyone,
I just found this forum and I'm excited to read all of your stories!
We have got a lot of birds inside, although all except 2 are rescues
We've got 7 cockatiels and 1 green cheek conure named Olive in their own room in the house. They're not very tame so we decided to give them their own place with lots of enrichment
We've also got a male Eclectus named Pickle who just turned one in June! Were his third owner and we got him when he was 2 months old. The poor boy is very traumatised and deadly afraid of sudden movements, he still like being near you so we have him sit around in the living room most of the day
He was clipped horribly by his previous owner, so bad that he can't even glide to safety and instead just drops like a rock. Even now, almost a year later, he can't fly at all
We also have a sun conure named Leo, who we had to hand raise because his parents didn't feed him
And we just got a message from one of my friends who breeds birds, that she has a green cheek conure baby who is the only one left due to negligence from the parents. So we picked him up! He's 5 weeks old and we called him Flo!
We've also got an aviary with 10 parakeets (bourks, elegant, turqoisine and budgies). They're not tame but they are great companions! My neighbours love their sounds
