So this morning I uncovered the budgie cage only to find blood splattered on the perches and paper like some slasher film 😳. On closer inspection, Cooper has a lot of dried blood on his wing but no apparent injury. I’m assuming he somehow broke a blood feather. He’s happy and energetic and the blood is all long dried. So I’m assuming if it’s stopped bleeding there’s nothing I need to do for him?

Oh poor little Cooper, he must've got a fright in the night and hurt himself :( If the blood has dried and coagulated in the feather shaft he should be ok, just keep an eye on him in case he starts picking at it and gets it bleeding again. I hope your little sweetheart will be ok!
