Broken feather?

Lucky, a 10 year old Eclectus
I saw this after I brought lucky home from the vet, I would guess that its a broken feather. If so, Do I have to pull it out or will he take it out on his own?

Think you'll find that he'll pull it out on his own, you may notice that he will preen it for a while and then all of a sudden it will be gone. Bucc very often has feathers like this one, and I've never had to pull one yet.
 
I agree with Peta, your eckie will preen it out i would say.Dobby gets them often herself.
 
Might ask the vet that you just went to, what they recommend. I'm interested in what they have to say.
 
Maybe not a bad idea. I only ever pluck broken blood feathers and that is just to stop bleeding.
