I just wanted to share the great news; I brought home Linus my baby eclectus last night. He's 9 weeks old now, and on 3 feedings a day, my co-worker was hand rearing him but I've now taken over. He's precious, but seems to really miss his sister, he whimpers if he's not being snuggled.]
He's eating his formula well, and picks at his bowl of mash/weaning foods between feedings. When he's not snuggling with me I got him a stuffed duck to snuggle to, but I'm sure he isn't fooled. My Sulpher Crested is not so happy about the new addition, she is very jealous when I'm near him, I'm sure she'll get over it, and I'm giving her lots of love with him nearby so she is getting closer to him even this morning than she would allow last night. Everything is going well so far. I do worry though when he makes his tiny whining noise if I'm not doing something wrong, but since he stops when he has company I'm assuming its a cry.
