Kiwi- RIP my sweet little green boi TwT
Since yesterday, I’ve noticed that my male budgie, Kiwi, doesn’t seem to be closing one eye.
His other eye closes normally, but he is trying to close this eye, but is only able to close it half way.
After watching him for a while, we noticed that his one eye was watery and only the bottom eyelid was closing, while the top one remained stationary.
I’m deeply worried, as not being able to close his eye might result in all sorts of problems for him, does anyone have any idea what is wrong with him or how to fix it?

Inclosed is a picture of Kiwi’s eye with the eyelid that won’t close.

This is a problem. It's not normal. If you experience one single moment of worry with your bird, take him to the vet immediately.

Sorry to hear this. It can be from trauma or infection. Eyes need special quick care.

Getting quick veterinarian care is what makes the difference and saves them.

You can support him with extra warmth and extra calories. In addition to medication vet prescribes.
Keep a millet spray near him. Offer molting seed for additional support. And crumbled in nutriberries.
