Bugs, Pests and Others... Oh, my?

So due to job reasons; we are moving from Oregon to the state of Kentucky. Having been born and raised there in KY; I know there are a few environmental changes that will affect us all...
1. Humidity (big time humidity!)
2. Insects... BIG, BIG bugs!
3. Mosquitoes !!!!!!!!!!

So where I'm going with this; is I do worry about how these things may affect Green Bean. In other words; do mosquitoes bite her and can she acquire illness from them or other bugs?

Any experience of thoughts are greatly appreciated. Obviously; there are no vaccinations so how do we prepare for that concern?

Billy, will Green Bean be housed outside?

There are bugs (mosquitoes) in each and every state, and yes, I know that some are (MUUUUUCH) bigger than others. We have screens over our windows, and rarely get mosquitoes inside the house (knock on wood).

She's always been and will be kept indoors. That said; we do take outside fairly often; she loves sitting on her manzanita tree stand and taking in the outdoors.
