Bumble Speaks!

So I have this little self-monitored security system in my apartment. When a sensor is activated a camera records (audio and video) for about 1 minute. Lately I've been getting a ton of false alarms but it sets itself automatically when I leave and I haven't bothered to stop it.

Today when I got my first false alarm, I looked at the video clip and could hear Bumble chirping so I decided (like any wacko parront) to listen to her.

At 37 seconds in, clear as a bell, she says peekaboo. Twice. And then a kiss noise.

We've been playing and working on peekaboo for ages and she has been saying peek, and a couple of times peeka but never the whole word. She seems to enjoy the game though and has sort of added her own twist - I put her in a finger and hide her behind my hand and how she climbs up to the hiding hand and we do it all again.

And I did make my co-worker listen and she heard it too, so it's not just wishful thinking. I wish I could figure out how to download this recording so you could all look at my messy living room and hear her sweet little voice!

What a gratifying moment [emoji7][emoji7]

I can think of nothing more fun than hearing about life at my place from Bumble's POV. I'm sure it would start with "There's not enough millet in this joint" LOL

I can't either to tell you the truth. I didn't think she would. "Peek" sounds a lot like a cute little Peep but she generally uses the same tone when we're playing, so I knew it was sort of talking, but I didn't think it would ever go beyond that. And maybe it won't in "public" LOL

Bumble thought I was napping so she was practicing and I caught it! She's very quiet, so you'll need to turn the volume way up, but you can hear two clear peekaboos and tons of kisses. [emoji7]
