Out of curiosity would the grey be to big to hang out with Mango my YSA?

I don't think size would be as much a factor as whether they would get along and unfortunately there's no way to know. Maybe someone on the board has that combination and will speak up.

My CAG's best bird buddy is my Lilac Crowned amazon...

But my CAG was raised with amazons and macaws from the time he hatched, so other birds don't even phase him...

He and my Red Fronted macaw have been playfully chasing each other all over the place stand since he hatched. So, not much phases him...

This one depends on the birds...

Any sized bird could get along for a short period of time, it's more a matter of the individual birds personalities.

My yellow shoulder is probably 3/4 size of the average Cag. I have seen smaller Congos before that were closer in size and some are quite big. Tag don't have the bright red tail I like.

What I think everyone is saying is that size doesn't matter. It makes no difference whether they are similar sizes. What matters is the personalities. There's no way to know whether they will get along or not.

I was also thinking about personality if the different species. The little I know is cag tend to be more nervous and not as aggressive as Amazons. Mango is becoming quite the clown and seems to be very out going compared to other birds I have met.

..........and not as aggressive as Amazons.......

I truly think you shouldn't put YSA into the same group with all other Amazon parrots when you talk about aggression.....:)
They are just too sweet for that.
I take Marley's head in between my hands and kiss her into her beak. She just sticks her tong out to kiss me back.......:o
I can't even dream of doing it to my DYHA. Simba is becoming very sweet to me too, but that would be just too much for her.
Everything I do with my DYHA is on HER terms, where Marley is ready for whatever I have in mind.
Even when Simba had aggression in mind towards Marley, poor Marley would not answer back but just stay and watch with a big surprise look. Also, Marley is not scared easily.

I ve had a BFA for almost ten years, i introduced a CAG this year in my house...the CAG was not properly socialised, neither to people nor to other birds...now the CAG is bonded to me, and attacks to everyone else including the BFA...the BFA is really "butter", he insists on approaching the CAG out of curiosity and "kindness", somehow to investigate and "befriend" him, never aggresively and he always takes a beating....not only that, but as the CAG attacks him he yells "GO AWAY" in Greek of course...thats totally hilarious....well, not for the BFA anyway...

I 100% agree with all the posters. This will solely depend on the birds personalities.

My Hunter (YN) got along GREAT with my pair of Eclectus. Neither Hunter nor Sam want anything to do with my big macs (and I can't blame them, they'd lose a limb). Hunter & Sam get along perfectly when they are on the same Java trees together. Now this "may" change as Sam reaches sexual maturity, it remains to be seen. :)

I'm consider lucky as my feather friends seems ok with one another, at least there's no fight from the past years.
My Goffin & YCA preen one another often and my mom even afraid that they might go into mating, which I think it's impossible.
My LB loves to mix around with the lager birds. Only allow my LB to go near my YCA but not my Goffin as she seems to dislike. Never wanna take the risk.
As for my CAG, she's a very good self entertainer plus a loner all this while, never goes near to any of the birds but loves human's accompany.

This 2 pics looks cute too :D

AWESOME pictures, POD!!!!! :D

All your birds are MAGINICENT, and clearly they are extremely well socialized with other birdies. LOVE IT!!! :D

I still have my cousins quaker, I think he is mine right now and I put him with Mango supervised. I'm just going to keep him and provide him a good home, its not really that much more work and he is pretty cute but kinda obnoxious.
