can you tell age?

I have been wondering recently if there is a way to tell how old a cockatoo is?
I was told when I adopted mine that he is 11 but because his early life is difficult, I'm wondering if he would be much older or even younger. I know for sure the owner before me had him for 5 years. And he was told that Cuzco was 6 years old then, but the woman was a hoarder and not ok. So it just leads me to wonder.

No you can't really tell. I adopted a SR Too 5 years ago also & his previous owner had him for 6 years. So my bird is 11 as well. I do know that i am the 2nd owner. To be honest by looking at my bird you couldn't tell if he was 3 or 33.

Just enjoy your Too & does it really matter, you have many, many years left with him.
