Oh, he's SO CUTE! Those baby brown eyes! I especially like the first pic. He's "blooming" for you. That's the word I made up for when my double yellowhead fluffed up his feathers, asking for a skritch. I'm sure Cap'n Jack is making the Amazon "feed me" noise in your general direction.

So cute. Kizzy is weaning onto three kinds of pellets and a variety of vegetables, but I have started training her with chopped raw sunflower seeds, which she only gets for doing important things like going into her cage, harness training and target training. After she eats a few sunflower seeds, it often serves as a "jumpstart" and she eats some pellets, too. I chose to do that because as my first flighted bird, I felt I needed a way to bribe her into doing what I need for her to do. You're Cap'n Jack's daddy, so when he gets his first treats is your choice.
Along with Yoshi, Captain Jack will be Kizzy's "sibling." Kizzy is the oldest. She will be twelve weeks old tomorrow.

Then Cap'n Jack and then Yoshi. We should throw a virtual birthday party when the May 2017 Amazons turn one year old in 2018. Until then, our work is cut out for us!
Congratulations!!!
BTW, do you know for sure he's a male? Just curious.
