Carriers should be encouraged

I've seen both sides of the carrier issue for birds and others. Today I was even more grateful that took the time to encourage Nameliss harness and carrier. In her carrier she's used to bumps, tilting among others. We're moving. She and service dog in Uhaul van. Filling up for return. Nozzle malfunction gasoline shooting everywhere. Kept mind to aim away from van. Don't know how many gallons. But enough before stopping. I yanked Nameliss carrier out going unwind as fast and far as I could. Not gentle either. She thought it was a game. Vet, travel, are just a few reasons for getting your feathered companion comfortable in a carrier. A malfunctioning gasoline nozzle definitely wasn't on my list.
