Hi guys and gals,
Ceasar LOVED the car ride. I stopped a few times and got him out and flew him.
Everything thing was going well until we went to this café that allowed pets. This woman was there with a Alexandrine. She came up to me specially to tell me HER bird was prettier than mine.....What a cow.
All I said was that they were Different species and I bet her bird Squarks more than mine and that I get more sleep than her , by the look of the bags under her eyes...LOL
How rude... upset me a little.:green2:

Aww PEOPLE!! A friend of mine has bean jealous since i got my Eckie and never has anything nice to say about him because of it. Tried to talk me out of it initially but he actually had no reasoning behind it. He knows he is a very cool bird but would never admit it!

But its so hard not to take things personally when it comes to your pets huh. I am always beating myself up about things that happen with my main dog when he is the most amazing well behaved dog yet he always seems to be blamed for things =(

Glad he loved the trip! Did you manage to keep him away from the kiddies? And pictures?!

Yes all kiddies fingers accounted for and no real dramas.
I kept him to his routine ( Feeding times etc.).
He didn't leave side the whole time.
I just told the kiddies that he bites so they were scared to touch him...LOL:green2:

Thats handy! A friend of mine had some people visit and one lady walked right up to his ruby Macaw hand outstretched ready to "pat" him as he yelled across the yard to stop her from getting her hand bitten off! Then she did the same to his Too, lucky she is a sweetheart and isn't generally inclined to bite!

The reason the event at the café upset me was that Here is this lady who gets up SPECIALLY to walk over and insult me and my bird.
I saw here coming over and I honestly thought she and I were going to have a Bird conversation...about having birds as pets..... so she caught me off guard a bit.:green2:

yup. Just this morning the stupid Rottie as standing over my dog being dominant (as dogs do) and my dog was on his back (he is very submissive usually) and the other dog kept spinning around standing on him and every time Arie would try to roll away and get away he would pin him again. After splitting it up once he did it again and Arie got sick of it and snapped at him and they got snapping at each other scrapping. At this stage i just let it be so they could sort themselves out. Then my boss called the rottie away once it was broken up and said to his partner (not even their dog) "its ok its not like he is the one looking for a fight". I was in shock! I have no issue with animals sorting things out between themselves but really... Blaming my dog for it because the other dog has no social skills.

PEOPLE!! Thats why i love my animals and hide out with them.

And it sounds so stupid, why do I let it get to me?! It just does
