Charlotte is finally up to an acceptable weight!

Charlotte has been underweight for the entire time we've had her. We've been working hard to get her to a decent weight, but she stalled about 30 grams under the absolute minimum the vet wanted her to be. Today she went to the vet for beak grooming and a manicure, and they weighed her just as a matter of course, and she's broken the 900g mark! She's got a large body for a female macaw, but then factor in the missing wing and he wants to see her at a minimum of 2 pounds, which is 910g. She was 915g with a full to bursting crop, so we're gonna call that good. Now we just need to maintain her weight and not worry so much about gaining. Yay!!!!!

Thanks! I was beginning to think she'd never gain enough weight.

I am kind of amused. I have two who are struggling to weigh enough and two who are struggling to not be obese. Can't we find a happy medium here?
