This was taken with a flash because it's easier to see the chick's colored feathers. So some hues are not accurate on Sailor (dad).

Yes! The girl has darker down feathers. I don't think this was the case with Rose's second clutch which also had 1 of each though. I've looked at old pictures of them and they look the same. This is her 4th clutch. 3rd clutch was a single male chick although there were 2 eggs.
