Tsali - African Grey- I am a one parrot parent. It's a full time job keeping Tsali healthy and happy.
Haven't shared pics of Tsali in a while, so here goes -

Tsali-s new favorite way for me to carry him - the "football hold" Tsali3-2017.webp

Taking a Bath, Tsali style

Love the bath time pics. I wish Salty enjoyed bathing half as much.
What are those brownish feathers in the first pic, near her tail? Is that her vent?

Al, unless the DNA testing was wrong Tsali is a male. The red feathers are the feathers surrounding his vent.

And Tsali is just learning to enjoy an occasional bath- he takes lots of "baths" but seldom gets wet. Generally he climbs down the cabinets, flaps his wings and then winds up on top of the faucet dismantling the sprayer. Today was a "real bath day".

So he splashes in the water, flys around the kitchen, lands on my shoulder, and when it's all said and done, I have an hour's worth of clean-up. :18:

I wish mine would take a bath. At best she gets a spray down in her cage although yesterday Enzo broke the sprayer by throwing on to the floor.
An hours worth of clean-up, where as I could clean my house weekly with a little maintenance in the interim, I find im constantly cleaning/wiping/brushing etc since becoming a parrent. Worth it though

Love that pic, so beautiful and trusting!

I will repeat what so many others have stated time and time again-- DON'T GIVE UP! What your dear fid believes is a life threatening danger one day can be the absolute best thing that ever happened the next and then once again be feather fluffing scary again.

Thank you, Sccott. Tsali will ride in the football hold for a trip around the house, then we wind up at his big play stand. I hold him up under one of the tree limbs and he unfolds his toes and latches on for some hanging upside down fun.

Great photos, beautiful bird. Thank you for sharing.
