Chili has been with us about 5 months now, and she'll be turning 1 next month. She has been just a joy to have as part of our family, and is such an awesome little girl

She's been learning words at a pretty fast rate, and currently says more words than my toddler
In this video the first thing she says is "wuv you!"


She also says: pretty bird, pretty girl, bye bye baby, what's up, what?! ....and makes kissing sounds and has recently started mimicking my laugh.

And she only knows 1 trick, but she learned it after 1 session....waving.


Most of the time she is occupying herself with her toys, but she does love mischief. She's very smart and crafty; she's escaped her cage a few times already- recently we came home from a quick errand and found an empty cage...I started frantically calling her and heard this little "puff" and looked up to see her up in her tree, looking at me like I was a complete idiot


She continues to amaze me day after day and we're just head over heels in love with her- I wouldn't trade her for the world.

Gosh, I can't believe it's been 5 months since Chili came home to you.

Seems like just yesterday we were all having the discussion on WHICH bird to get.

Oh how I remember the day she finally arrived. And it was definitely love at first sight for all of you!

Thank you everyone she's my spoiled little baby girl....she particularly likes it when I wear shirts that are the same pink as her lol she rubs her face all over me I had a video of me giving her snuggles at one point, but I couldn't find it- she's a mushy girl hahha

Terry, I can't crochet around her or the kid because BOTH try to steal my needles!!

She LOVES rolling around- she was rolling around in the laundry pile the other day (which was on the couch) and woop! off the edge she goes!! LOL

Growing up we had 3 in a backyard aviary. One named Pinky, one named Pyramid and the other Mad Mick. Two of them came from a pretty bad home and the other we got as a baby. Unfortunately someone (the person that we reduced the 2 from) came to our house when we were not home and let them all out.
