Christmas (ornamental) Peppers

So I just bought a small Christmas pepper plant today. I haven’t had one in a while and they make great houseplants. I’ve been doing some research and apparently these tiny peppers are edible but EXTREMELY hot! Has anyone tried giving one to their fid?

Edible but but not parrot safe as they are treated with all manner of nasty pesticides since they aren’t intended for consumption.

Hmm...perhaps it would be worth trying to grow one from seed...

Yeah sure. They are spicy so watch the beak kiss. But if you’re gonna go that route, there are so many more interesting peppers to grow.
