cockatiel and conure food mix problem

hey guys my wife doesnt know much about birds and i told her all the details and what food i usually get if she could pick it up .. she came home and already opened the bag and put the food into the container and etc.. but see i have a sun conure and she got cockatiel food mix .. i see it has more seeds in it i will be adding more pellets into he food but any other things a conure needs thats not in cockatiel mix ?

I honestly give my conure a bigger bird's mix. It's the Kaytee forti-diet with an African Grey on the bag. I do this because the conure mix doesn't have the peanuts and dried peppers she likes. I mix that with roudybush pellets and whatever fruits and veggies she'll eat (she's very picky). I don't think it's a big deal to give the "wrong" seed mix just this once. However, you may be able to exchange it. I've exchanged open bags of food before with no issue when I just explained what happened.

For what it's worth, I feed my guys a 50/25/25 mix of KayTee FortiDiet conure mix/Harrison's pellets/Roudybush pellets in one bowl, and a mix of various fresh foods in another bowl. I'd worry more about how much seed is being fed versus pellets and fresh foods than the exact seed mix being used. I think you'd be fine using up the cockatiel seed mix if you can't return it.

I agree with the others. I would just mix it up with pellets and possibly get another bag of conure diet then store it in an airtight container. More variety, so why not?

Conures do not need as much seed as cockatiels.The cockatiel mix could be fed a little but if its anything like what I feed to the tiels I wouldn't use it for a conure as a main stay.

I also feed Roudybush pellets everyday and nutriberries whenever I feel like feeding it to them.
