Its so sweet, while I'm in the recliner with him on my chest he will get as close to my head as possible and lay down and just relax on me. I'm glad he is so comfortable with me!

I find it so amazing that something so small can be so trusting. It might sound cheesy, but I think it is so beautiful to see the animal/human bond (and that goes for dogs, cats, birds, etc!). Your bird just loves you to pieces, how sweet!!

Aww ! I just love the bond between animal and man. That must have been a precious moment for you.

Yes it is everyday he does that!

Have you not heard? The bird is the word!

Cockatiels are wonderful to have around, even with the big birds around, I couldn't do without a Cockatiel. My first bird I bought for myself was a Cockatiel. Other then the Parakeets and finches I've had when I was younger. That's why I always suggest Cockatiels to everyone cause they're really sweet intelligent birds to have around.

Are they pretty jealous birds? I always actually handle him every day I am home and he has his cage open for around 5 hours a day even though he rarely ever come to the opening. I sorta figure I'll see some jealousy when I bring home a Grey.

I suppose they can be a little jealous even upset if your holding another bird, cause my Cockatiels will do that. But generally they're pretty easy going birds.

That's good to know, its sorta funny, the main noise he makes sounds similar to the sound the character makes and I named him before he ever made the noise

I use to have one and as much time as I spent with him he hated me. He bonded to my older sister and refused to be touched by anyone else. He was very jealous as well, if anyone would interact with my sister he would throw a fit in his cage. He wanted her attention and didn't want anyone else to interact with her but him. It might of just been that bird, but I would be sure to make sure they meet many new people. I would hate for you to deal with what I did. I assume he was just an exception though.

My cockatiels love to get in my hair. Although for some reason they hate my ears!

I love the cuddles I get from Poptart, its amazing and such a privilege to be loved by these awesome creatures. I have made sure Poptart loves to be with everyone in the family. He is very mellow and will go to anyone! The only thing that annoys him is when I touch his tail feathers! He gets crazy..
