We got a cockatiel about 5 weeks ago, named Merlin. He's a great bird, but tonight I came home and the lower part of his top beak was black. I'm walking around trying to figure out he got at, and as I sat down 5 minutes ago I figured it out--a number 2 pencil got sharpened. Could this be dangerous?::white1:

I did a quick internet search. From what I saw he should be fine. He could have loose droppings. Im sure you already do but make sure he has plenty of water.

Thanks! I was a little brain dead yesterday after a 14 hour work/transportation day. He drank a lot of water, and his beak is clean, lol. I have hidden the pencils, though!
