We have had out cockatoo, Angel, for almost two years now and a few months ago she randomly started licking her cage. Its a coated cage so she's not licking any metal but we still don't think this is healthy for her. Is there anything we can do to get her to stop? It seems almost like an obsessive behavior. She doesn't lick anything else, just her cage. :white1:

Try to find things to distract her, you can try buying shredders and wrapping then around the bars along with knots and bows to distract her. Try foraging toys and food too. Have any eucalyptus trees around that aren't treated? My galah rarely touches her toys but she loves a 3'/4' fresh eucalyptus branch from the backyard tree.
