Is your coconut oil edible, human grade, or something sold as a body lotion ? ? ?
If it's not edible, all natural can mean anything the manufacturer and/or vendor wants it to and very often it is not really what you think it means...actually, for non-food items, manufacturers and/or vendors can say anything they want to & the FDA or any other U.S government agency will not object.....the FDA says this on its website: “from a food science perspective, it is difficult to define a food product that is ‘natural’ … [The] FDA has not developed a definition for use of the term natural or its derivatives. However, the agency has not objected to the use of the term if the food does not contain added color, artificial flavors, or synthetic substances.” The FDA has maintained this position since the early 90's.....
The ubiquitous "Natural" labeling, at least in the U.S. is a mere selling tool to get we consumers to believe in myths.....grains that have been genetically altered can be fed to livestock, included in our foodstuffs and those of our pets...and...legally carry the "Natural" label...doesn't make any difference what happened to it before it grew out of the ground, was harvested & turned into tonight's dinner.....the same applies to beef, pork, chicken, fish, goat, lamb, etc.....if you want it to be "100% all natural" grow it yourself.....
