Conure Sling? xD

I know this is probably silly~
However, I was reading about how baby conures are typically with their parents nearly all the time, and the more interaction and experience he has will make him a more secure birdie. While I'm moving about the house, clearly I cant have my little one on my shoulder since he can't sit very well yet. So I wondered, is there a way to "wear" my parrot, like I "wore" my children with a Tula? Thanks

How old is your baby? By the time he is weaned he should be more than able to sit on your shoulder.

I'd ask the same how old. Has he actually fallen off? Sometimes they can get off balance, but birds are almost the most perfectly designed animal to sit upon another animal. Also I don't think confining a bird would aide the bonding....they should choose to be with you.

He is 5 weeks old and still hand feeding. I wouldn't wear him all the time but I have a very active 2 yo so I don't get to sit still for very long and I usually need both hands.

He is very delicate and I would be afraid of crushing him. They are not with their parents all the time as the parents have to search food to feed the clutch. In between feeding times they nap dont they?

I have to ask, do you have previous experience with hand-feeding? If not I'd try and get him back to a breeder. It's a literal mine-field of problems with most resulting in death. Being a baby they wouldn't leave the nest to go with mom and dad and would stick with his brothers and sisters for warmth. Do you have a brooder with the necessary temperature control ETC? Also what part of the USA are you from, there's a number of states where being sold an unweaned baby is illegal, if you're in one of those parts don't go back to the breeder instead get him to CAV so they can do the feeding process. There's absolutely 0 benefit to weaning yourself, the only benefit is to the breeder's wallet.
